Where did you grow up? I grew up in Florida enjoying the beach in Jacksonville.
Tell us about your family. I have a wonderful wife and two sons named Tage and Haaken. My parents live in Florida and I have an older brother who lives with his family in Texas. My wife’s family lives in Seattle and her sister lives with her husband in Boston. We have family all over the U.S.
Share something about yourself that might surprise people. I have pet a mountain lion in an elevator.
Briefly describe your work experience. I have many years of experience working with youth. Primarily, I have worked in Wilderness Therapy programs in Montana, Oregon, Hawaii, and Colorado. I have also taught snowboarding, surfing, worked at a surf shop, and worked as an EMT on an ambulance.
If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be?Give me a week getting flown around Alaska in a helicopter and being dropped off to do some backcountry snowboarding!
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Spending time with my wife and kids doing fun outdoor adventures.
What draws you most to this type of work? I enjoy making a positive impact on young people's lives and seeing the profound changes occur while they discover their true potential.
