B.S. Bible/Pastoral Ministries -Columbia International University
Where did you grow up? I grew up in The B also known Brownsville, it’s a small town on the Puget sound Just across from Seattle.
Tell us about your family. My family is pretty rad, I have one wife her name is Ginger, we have been married for what she likes to describe as forever. During that 15 plus years we added some kids Three of them to be exact. Currently Jacob is in high school Matt is in middle school and Bethany Grace is doing her thing in elementary school.
Share something about yourself that might surprise people. I am an Introvert, no seriously I am.
Briefly describe your work experience. I have been pretty fortunate to spend the majority of my life helping people learn how to manage life. (you know what they say, those that can’t do teach)
If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be?Stuck in the cabin with my wife in NW Montana, too much snow to leave toasty fire, ice fishing and the best company a gal could ask for. That is my perfect week. I should also note that said cabin would have wifi…
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Since relocating to MT have been building a small farm “The Rusty Nickel”. It’s a family thing allowing us to be outdoors together as well as being a great opportunity for our kids to learn the necessity of hard work and the value of perseverance. I am an avid outdoorsman who loves to hunt and fish. Especially when those fish are under the ice.
What draws you most to this type of work? I was once an angry, hostile, disrespectful, arrogant, moody, explosive, wreck less, chemically dependent, overly emotional, middle school dropout living an empty hopeless life. I am not that guy anymore and your students don’t have to be either. What draws me to this kind of work you ask? Experience and hope, hope that your student will be able to leave here ready to stand firm and face life’s challenges head on with character and integrity.
