"Enjoy life. This is not a dress rehearsal." - Author Unknown
Where did you grow up? I was born and raised in Minnesota. I graduated from High School south of Minneapolis. After college I lived in Missouri, Texas, back to Minnesota, and now Montana.
Tell us about your family. My husband, Rick, and I met in Missouri, we were both athletic trainers for the Bearcats of NWMSU. We have two great adult kids, and a mini-dachshund.
Share something about yourself that might surprise people. I designed and marketed my light weight golf bag. It is called caddylite.
Briefly describe your work experience. I have had the opportunity to work in several fields, but they all have one thing in common- working with and helping people. In my past I have been a camp counselor, an athletic trainer, a school counselor, the assistant director of admissions and financial aid at a campus U of Minnesota, and most recently counselor and principal at a rural school in the Flathead Valley.
If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be?I would spend it at our cabin in Minnesota. We have owned the cabin for almost 20 years and it is so important to our family. It is our home away from home. Of course I wouldn't mind spending a week at a golf resort now and then!
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Golfing, gardening, fishing, playing with the animals, knitting, hanging at the house with the family. Playing chess, badminton, and ping pong.
What draws you most to this type of work? I have always enjoyed working with young people. What a great opportunity to be involved in the process of helping to explore the future.
