Where did you grow up? In the beautiful Flathead Valley
Tell us about your family. I am the only child of my family and also the only grandson. Everyone may think that an only child is very spoiled, but everything that I have accomplished has been through the hard work of my own desire.
Share something about yourself that might surprise people. Most people look at me as being an outgoing and social person, but throughout my childhood I was very quiet and shy. I'm not sure what happened, but I have learned later in life to keep challenging myself to keep growing as a person.
Briefly describe your work experience. Ever since I graduated from high school I worked at our local newspaper. I started as a temporary data entry clerk when the company first purchased a computer system. From there I worked my way through the company, learning everything that I could along the way. Being given bits and pieces of the accounting role gave me the experience I needed to eventually reenter the educational system to gain my professional degrees as an accountant.
If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be?Europe has always intrigued me because of the history involved with the various countries. I have studied French and German and would like to the opportunity to experience these countries to learn more about the language and the countries it originated from.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? My latest passion is going to our local yoga studio and learning what inspires me through meditation and watching how my body is changing through my practice.
What draws you most to this type of work? I have always been a numbers person and math has been a strong point with many of my family members. Accounting may seem tedious, but I look at it as a means for helping others in reaching their goals.
