Where did you grow up? I grew up in Whitefish. Growing up here has cultivated a love for most things outdoors. I love living in the four seasons, being close to Glacier Park, and the close community feel of Whitefish.
Tell us about your family. I am sandwiched right in the middle of my older sister and younger brother. My sister is an amazing artist and lives in the Seattle area and has always been my greatest role model. My brother is a culinary expert and one of my favorite adventure buddies. Both of my parents live locally and my dad owns a small business here in town. I also have a loving little dog named Olive, who enjoys long walks in the woods and peanut butter.
Share something about yourself that might surprise people. I was born in a cabin on Whitefish Lake. Despite my humble beginning, I have both pet and consumed a kangaroo…I did not eat the entire kangaroo nor was it the same one.
Briefly describe your work experience. In high school and through college I worked a few different jobs. My favorites were working at a summer camp with elementary aged kids, and working in a ski shop.
If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be?I would love to travel to Iceland. I think I could spend a week just marveling at the waterfalls, and playing in the natural hot springs.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? In my down time I like to paint, hike, fly fish, ski (both on water and snow) spend time with my pup, friends and family
What draws you most to this type of work? This age is such a defining time for creating a personal path, and it’s a true privilege to work beside each student as they make changes that lead them to their goals, and to a happier life.
